Summer Camps
STEAM SUMMER day CAMPS
STEAM camps will be provide all the elements of our regular STEAM program mixing all ages and enjoying various activities, nature journaling, reflection, immersive play, and plenty of exploration in nature for all. This is an excellent opportunity to join in our STEAM programming for kids in public or private school or for kids already enrolled in STEAM to enjoy their campus in the summertime and see all that is happening there during this vibrant season. Day camps will be drop-off and limited in capacity. Caregivers may stay onsite if they prefer.
Time: 9:30 am - 2 pm

forest families SUMMER day CAMP
Forest Families will continue on Tuesdays at Raven Run Nature Sanctuary this summer with Ms. Uma!

mighty acorns SUMMER DAY CAMP
Mighty Acorns will continue this summer with our regular routine and child-led exploration and play throughout the summer! Day camps will be drop-off and limited in capacity. Our program leaders will be Uma, Christina, and Cora.

Camping*
Tween Camp - welcoming kids 11-14 for a camping getaway to the Smokies! We will go on hikes, explore the fauna and flora, and build plenty of skills for independence and getting comfortable in nature.
Cost: $250 per child
Dates: July 22- 24
Family Destination Camp - welcoming families to come and enjoy Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia for a truly magical getaway this summer. This experience is still a highlight to all who have attended before. Enjoy waterfall hikes, sunset hikes, boulder fields, wild ponies, and plenty of quality time with friends and family.
Cost: $225/family
Dates: June 21 -24
Family Camp - welcoming families to come and explore the Obed National Scenic River in Tennessee and enjoy some fun by the river as we close summer programming. This campground is reserved for only Red Oaks families, contains tent only primitive sites, and is located right on the river. We will enjoy some hiking, swimming, and rock scrambling for this perfect summer adventure. family.
Cost: $125/family
Dates: August 2 - 4

Our regular Community Connections weekend programming will also continue through the summer!
Red Oaks is for everyone! We encourage people from all backgrounds to join us. Scholarships and financial assistance is available in order to remove any barriers to participation. Please inquire for more information to info@redoaksforestschool.org.

Registration for Summer Programming is open May 28th for members and May 30th, 2024 for non-members.
Applications for financial support are available. Please use this link to apply. This program is also in need of parent helpers, which receive tuition assistance. Please email us following your applications submission for assistance information.
