Red Oaks Presents its first Spring Fest
We are thrilled to share our new campus, our amazing programs, and core values during Spring Fest! We must give special thanks to our sponsors who helped make it happen. Come and bring the family for a fun-filled spring day and take advantage of the many opportunities to win prizes, play with friends and family, celebrate spring, learn new things and support Red Oaks!
Schedule of events
2 pm - 5 pm: Throughout the afternoon we encourage families to come and play, see our campus, learn about our values and vision with your own nature immersive experience. Take some time to play with friends and family, climb trees, get your toes wet and dive into the many physical and mental health benefits of time spent in nature.
2 pm - 2:45 pm: Candy Mountain Music will host a music and movement class for the little ones. We are so pleased to have the talent of Sarah Smitha and this is something you won’t want to miss!
4pm - 5 pm: Take a tour of Acorn woods led by our very own Mighty Acorns (ages 3-6) as they take you around their world and share the fun and adventure being had by all each week. This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about this nature immersive pre-school program by talking to the teachers and kids!
5:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Red River Rockhouse, West Sixth Brewery and Ale8 are catering this event and we are so thrilled to have their famous burgers and veggie burgers as part of this event. All the beef from the Red River Rockhouse is grass-fed, grass-finished and local from Wholesome Living Farms in Winchester and Holly Hill Farms in the Red River Gorge along with other small, local farmers. Sides will include the Rockhouse’s famous kale salad and other delicious items provided potluck style by our members. Registration is required to ensure we have enough. Tickets are $15/adults, $10/kids.
2 pm - 7:30 pm: Be sure to check out our amazing vendors and dozens of raffle prizes silent auction items totaling more than $4000 in value including cabin rentals, food, climbing and adventure experiences, health and wellness items, and much, much more! Raffle and silent auction will end at 7:30 pm and winners will be announced. We will also have some crafts for the kids during this time to do while you eat and enjoy good company!
8 pm - 9 pm: Head back over to our fire circle for some mini concerts by Sarah Smitha, local singer/songwriter for children and the inner child in us all AND TEDx Corbin performer and soulful Appalachian artist, Larah Helayne! We are beyond excited to have these local talents join us for an intimate music experience in nature. Bring your instruments following these performances for an open jam to last until we are just too tired to play anymore.
We couldn’t do this without the support of these amazing sponsors!
